President Barack Obama said that the government will allow us to keep our current insurance policy and doctor (thank you, Mr. President, you’re too generous).

But he also said that if you cancel yoiur policy or lose it for any reason, you will have no other option than to go to the government controled insurance for coverage.

Now they’re talking about taxing company’s extra for the insurance coverage they offer to their employees.

The government option is geared to become a government mandate right before our very eyes. As soon as company’s begin to be taxed, they will stop offering insurance to their employees. Employees will lose their coverage, having lost their option for private coverage to continue, forcing them to go to the government option which, in fact, was never an option at all but a mandate in waiting.
